Iron Workers Memorial Bridge, a painting by Andrea Armstrong for the Reflections Vancouver 2008 Fundraiser (Capilano University).
Part of a series of six paintings by Victor Bonderoff, depicting Vancouver ghost legends from the lofty perspective of the city’s historic structures. Victor writes:
“An interpretation of the famous ‘Lady in Red’ ghost of the Hotel Vancouver Her name was Jennie Pearl Cox, a regular at the hotel ballroom in the 30’s who died in a car crash in 1944. She has been seen on the 14th floor, in the elevator, and outside the hotel walking along a spectral ledge, the image you see here. The guiding crow and the alarmed gargoyles are thrown into the mix.”
